IKA Megafret wagons were designed for the transport of containers on UK W9 loading gauge routes. This included 9’6” high cube containers which were increasing their share of the container market.

The wagon was built by Arbel Fauvet in France and the first batch were delivered to Freightliner in 2001. Subsequent batches have been delivered for use by EWS and DRS where they are used primarily for transport to and from major container ports and the Channel Tunnel.

These model IKA Megafret wagons are highly detailed and will be a great addition to your rolling stock. They feature superbly applied decoration and liveries, a detailed moulded body with many separately added features. It comes as a twin wagon pack. There are also superbly weathered Megafret available.

This model measures 246mm (length including buffers) by 33mm (width) by 22mm (height).
